We are excited to announce Nexus-GPT2-V1, an open-weight conversational AI model built on the GPT-2 124M architecture. Trained on over 400,000 messages—most sourced from real-world social group chats—this model is designed to excel at roleplay and creative dialogue, prioritizing responsiveness and personality over long-context reasoning.

Training Data

The dataset reflects the informal, fast-moving nature of online group conversations. It includes:

  • Casual phrasing and shorthand
  • Slang, emojis, and playful language
  • Frequent topic changes and multi-threaded exchanges
  • Typos, abbreviations, and inconsistent formatting

By learning from this environment, Nexus-GPT2-V1 can emulate the tone and style of real social interaction, making it especially effective in immersive, character-driven chat.
